Button and Crystal Snowman
I saw this super cute little snowman at JoAnns fabrics. It was in a 2x3 frame and the background was on just a plain old burlap backing, no hands or face and they wanted ten bucks for it. Well I decided I would like to do one just a bit bigger and knew I could do it myself for a lot cheaper! My total cost ended up being $3.40. and of course I had to vinyl a face and stick hands! Here is my version! TFL

I Got the Attitude Blog Award
Good Morning Everyone! I am super excited, and always humbled when I am selected as the recipient of a Blog Award.
This particular award was passed on to me by Stacy over at Love That Bug. Thanks so much for thinking of me Stacy! I truly appreciate it! If you haven't checked out Stacy's blog, you need to head over there, besides the "adorable monkeys", she has tons of tips, tutorials and videos to check out!
In order to accept this award and earn the bragging rights that my blog has "Tude", I must first tell you three things that make me and/or my blog different from others and then nominate 5 other blogs to recieve this 'tude filled award.
Here goes:
1. I have a PhD in Psychology, am a Certified Hypnotherapist and an Ordained Minister, but forget all those silly titles...what I really am is A CRAFTER, in every sense of the word, Crafter not only in healing Mind, Soul & Body, but a crafter of ART!!
2. I am pretty sure I was the first to figure out that you could stamp images and turn them into my favorite art medium...SVG'S FOR VINYL BABY!
3. I love sharing my work with others and seeing their individual perspectives on using a file that I created and the connections that are created because of this.
For my 5 choices of recipients, I chose to nominate the following because of the endless inspiration that they have provided to me and others! In no particular order, here are my choices:
1. Denise @ Paper Pastime
2. Kristy @ Kreations By Kristy
3. Leslie @ A place to BE HAPPY!...
4. Kathy @ Smart Buy Gal

My best friend's son-in-law is a huge collector of anything that has to do with Starwars and so she commissioned me to make this charger plate for him. Big thanks to Mardenz for sharing the Darth Vader file with me. If you haven't checked out her blog, you should, she has some awesome files there! TFL

International Cake Taker
I found these really cute cake takers at the Dollar store and of course I had to pick some up! I didn't want to do the normal dots etc that I have done before, I wanted to do something different. So what I did was translate the word "Cake" into 16 different languages and plastered them all over the cake taker. I like the simplicity of how it looks, decorated, but can still see what's inside! Thanks for looking

A friend of mine who makes body scrubs recently went out of business, sad for her but yay for me as I scored 35 of these great containers for 1o cents each! I just did up a quick one to show you what you can do with them. As for me, I make several homemade drink mixes such as Cappuccino, toffee cappuccino, cafe vienna, Bavarian mint cafe, Hot Chocolate and Chai Tea Latte. I am going to vinyl some of the containers with wrap around coffee words and some I will do similar to the one I have posted, but all will contain about a cup and a half of one of the above named mixes. If you would like a copy of my recipes, I have posted them in the Smart Gal Buy Forum HERE . If you haven't been there yet, you really should check it out. It is the greatest forum around, where you can post whatever project you are working on and not have to worry if you are offending someone at ProvoCraft by mentioning SCAL or MTC. At the SBG forum, you can post anything and everthing yoru heart desires! Check it out, you definitely won't be sorry! Thanks for looking.

Repurposed shelf
This used to be a little shelf that hold all the essential oils incenses. A friend was going to throw it away because she had sold all of the oils and wasn't ordering any more. Well I got it from her and decided to add some vinyl to spice it up again. I have a friend who loves to burn taper candles and she loves anything that is Celtic or has butterflies or fairies on it. Well this is what I did with it...better than just throwing it away don't you think? :) TFL

I looked everywhere to find a floating frame to make a wedding gift for my friend, but to no avail! I settled on this frame and decided to just remove the 3 picture mat and was going to put some wedding themed paper in the frame to vinyl on. Well, when I removed the mat and paper that it came with, I found this beautiful black lightly textured surface. I had originally planned on vinyling some pretty cream colored flourishes and their names over the top in white. After seeing the background that was already there, I decided to just vinyl directly on that and of course changed my colors to Gold and White and here is the result. Sorry that the pic is a bit blurry, but you get the idea. TFL

Repurposed Child's School Desk Top
I have a friend who works for the school district. One of the desks broke and they were going to throw it away, but my friend knew that I could make something creative out of it so she brought it home to me. Here is the result of what i did with the desktop. It will hang outside my friend's Door for Halloween! The trick or treat border can be found on HeatherM's blog, the witch I think came from CardmkrLeslie's Blog...if not check it out anyway she has lots of great info and cool svg's on her blog as well, and the haunted house is one I made last year for halloween. Font is Addams Capitals. TFL

Faux Metal Bracelet
Every year I have a tradition with my grandkids ages 2-8 where I keep them for the weekend sometime before Christmas. We bake cookies, make candies and gingerbread houses and of course we have to do something crafty so they have presents to take home to mommy and daddy! I was looking around today when I found this awesome faux metal bracelet. It is made with cardboard (I used heavy cardstock), glue, tin foil and a toothpick (I used an old pen with no ink in it) and paint, can you believe that??? It sounded so simple I just had to try it! This is how mine turned out! I added the crystal in the center of the star to give it a lil added extra bling! Can't wait to see how creative my lil ones will be when making thiers! Still on the hunt for a daddy present they can make! :) TFL and if you want directions you can find them here at http://www.favecrafts.com/Jewelry-Making/Faux-Forged-Foil-Bracelets

Note holder
These have to be the simplest lil things to throw together and they would make a great gift for anyone who is in an office or even to put by your phone or computer in your home. Although I just decided to put the word Notes on it, you could certainly personalize it with someone's name and something like "Notes from Kim" or whatever you like, you get the picture.
All it takes to make it is an acrylic picture frame, any size you choose, (mine is 5x7 from dollar tree) scrapbook paper of your choice cut to fit frame (5x7) one inch wide works best...mine was two so I folded it in half and it worked great! Post it note (dollar tree find in 4 pack) and some double sided heavy duty stick scrapbook tape (dollar tree) to adhere post it notes to the frame and embellishments of your choice. The possibilities are endless. I chose to just keep it simple and stamped hello in the corner of the first few pages of the post its and then embellished with vinyl. Super simple project that took me less than ten minutes from start to finish!
Thanks for looking and if you have any questions that I didn't already explain, feel free to ask or email me.
Blog Award
Wow, I feel so blessed today! I just recieved my very first Blog award from Stacy, over at Love That Bug - please check out her blog, she has some great stuff on there! I just want to say thank you for choosing my blog! I am in shock and very excited! It is my job now to pass this award on to 15 blogs that I feel are deserving. I have chosen blogs that I found to be inspiring to me for many different reasons and have listed them in no particular order.
Please take a moment and check out their blogs! Hopefully they will inspire you as much as they do me! Thanks again Stacy! I appreciate it!
Halloween Treat Cups
I found these really cool cups in orange on closeout at our Family Dollar store for .50 cents each. At the time I picked them up I was just thinking, *cool, non spill cups - these would be great for my grandkids!" So of course I picked them up. Well I have since decided that they needed to be decorated lol. I was thinking that this would make a cute and usable alternative to my normal halloween pails filled with candy for them, So I put their names on the front side in their favorite colors, a pumpkin and spider on the back using the Potpourri Cart, and of course I will fill them with goodies! I will give them to my lil angels on Halloween as a very special and lasting treat from Grammy! Thanks for looking! :)

Kindness and Compassion
Last year I was looking for the Neiman Marcus cookie recipe when I happened to come across a really cool old ad that they had. The woman was made out of all sorts of words all having to do with fashion. I really liked the way she looked and decided to make her into an svg. Although the svg turned out nicely, I just couldn't think of how I was going to use her until now. One thing I think that all of us need to remember is how have kindness and compassion for others. My momma always taught me to treat others how I want to be treated, and sometimes I think we are all guilty of forgetting this little fact. Thanks for looking and may the rest of your day be blessed with kindness and compassion towards you and your fellow man.

Onsies
I am not a huge fan of the freezer paper method of making shirts, onesies etc...So I thought I would make my own lil pattern of the very popular ipood onsie for heat transfer vinyl. I just like the HTV so much better because I am all about fast!!! Wanted to do the "Chicks dig me!" in yellow but only had green left...ah well it turned out ok. TFL
