Snowmen Cards

Here are the cards I created for a snowman card swap on the Cricut MB.
I did the red and green "seasons greetings" cards first and so they aren't quite as embellished as the blue "thinking of you" cards. The Blue cards were my take on a card that I had seen on the web site of "Stamp with Heather" http://stampwithheather.typepad.com/stamp_with_heather/2009/08/simply-punches-holidays-its-here.html Her cards are adorable, but I wanted mine to be more snowish looking, so I opted for the blues instead of the primary colors she chose. Also her card is square and mine are rectangle, so I had to do things a bit differently. Anyway, I think that scrapping is all about making things your own! Enjoy

Wooden Initials

On a recent trip to Salt Lake, I got to stop into one of the Hobby Lobby's that I hear everyone on the cricut board talking about. I thought I was in heaven! (we don't have a hobby lobby in Idaho, and if we do, it isn't anywhere close to where I live) Anyway, I found these really cute, but very plain initials on sale there for half price. Well I thought this would be a nice gift to bring back to my grandkids. Upon my return I asked each of them what they wanted on their particular Initial. Coby chose bugs, Lylliana wanted butterflies, McKailee's room is done in horses, Gianna wanted flowers, I did boyish transportation for Riggin and a cute little teddybear holding flowers for Indika. They were so simple to do and will really go nicely in their rooms. I might add that they were pretty inexpensive to do as well.

I am so lucky!

A friend of a friend found out that I do decorative tiles. She made the comment that, "Now I know what to do with all those left over tiles that have been sitting in my garage for the past 5 years!" Yep, you guessed it, I got over 70 tiles in various sizes. They were a little dusty and needed a good washing but they were so worth it! The bulk of the tiles are a darker varigated marble tile. They will be fun to work with. I also got these 12x6 tiles that I decided to make one into a welcome sign as a thank you to Allison. I love the font on this and it cut very nicely with no problems at all. The font is called "Deanna's Ivy Caps" by Dani Herring Foster. She has some really cool fonts that are available at Dafont.com. I can't wait for Christmas so I can try the Holly caps out!

Vinyl Bags

These are some $ store vinyl bags that CardmakerLeslie very graciously offered to send me since my local dollar store didn't carry them in pink and black. Pink, Black and Silver are my signature colors in my jewelry store. The bottom line is kind of hard to read but my byline is "We make every occasion sparkle" I also have a friend who is a writer, that loves pink/black. Her writing group is called "Writing with Moxie" and they meet weekly at the local "Moxie Java" coffee shop, so I made the second bag for her. I just love the castellar font on the Blingology bag and I use it in alot of projects. I also used it on the back of the moxie bag for a monogram. I was pretty pleased at how they both turned out.
